which one is close to write request latency? statement latency or transaction latency?

In DB Console, there are two latency of the same write request SQL fingerprint: Statement Latency and Transaction Latency, and they are quite difference.

so, which one is close to the write request latency indeed?

Hi Lewis,

By Statement Latency, are you referring to Statement Time, in the statement’s table? Statements Page | CockroachDB Docs

And transaction latency as Transaction Time, the in the transactions table? Transactions Page | CockroachDB Docs

Since you’re interested in the latency of a single SQL statementt fingerprint, i would use the SQL Statement time.

I had read this two parts several times, and couldn’t figure out which one was really close to the write request latency from client.
It may be statement latency, but I’m not sure.

for latency from the client perspective, i’d go with statement time.

may be, but how to proof it? or any theoretical basic?

could you clarify what you mean by “may be, but how to proof it? or any theoretical basic?”
