Will sql mapping model affect performance?

Hi, cockroachdb maps a column in one row to a kv which is relatively small(maybe serveral bytes), will this affect its scan performance since larger kv sizes are more friendly for scan in rocksdb? and when inserting one row, multi kvs should be put into rocksdb, is this slow?

CockroachDB no longer uses RocksDB in newer versions; it uses Pebble.
You can control the number of KVs that a row uses with Column Families. A table with 1 column family will store all columns in a single KV.
